Grade
K
|
Produced
from 100% electrical grade kraft wood pulp, this grade is referred
to in many countries as "Presspahn" and is available
in natural buff but can be dyed to achieve any required shade.
The production techniques and quality in all cases are identical
except that dyed material would contain an innocuous aniline dye.
The excellent
physical, electrical and mechanical properties of this grade make
it ideally suited for punching, creasing and folding in to components
used in an infinite variety of applications. |

Grade 5 |
This
is a cotton linter based presspaper which has been developed for
customer who need UL approval, low extract levels
and the toughness and reliability of a cotton (rag) type paper.
This material can also be laminated with polyester films.
With compliance
to IEC 641 and UL approval this product is ideal for applications
ranging from fractional horse power motors to oil immersed power
transformers. It is a popular choice for tag boards, ballasts,
bobbins and barriers and many similar applications.
N/B. Special order conditions apply to this grade, please call for further details. |

|

Grade 4 |
This
presspaper exhibits a unique combination of superior electrical
strength, mechanical toughness and flexibility and has a proven
durability under the most arduous service conditions.
This product
finds use predominantly as motor slot and overhang insulation
in Class E rotating machines. These laminates are particularly
suited for punching, creasing and forming and are used in a wide
variety of electrical, domestic and industrial applications. |

|

Grade 3 |
This grade
was developed in co-operation with the power transformer industry
to meet the special needs of manufacturers for a major insulation
material which provides an optimum combination of electrical and
mechanical strength, stability, low permittivity and maximum oil
absorption.
The paper
is ideally suited for layer insulation, high to low wraps, lead
exit protection, petalled ends, layer end packing and can be readily
creased and formed in to interlayer wraps with folded edges. |

Grade 3 DDP |
Diamond
Dotted presspaper is constructed by applying discrete dots of
'B' resin adhesive to Grade 3 Presspahn. This is a well established
methods of producing an insulation system that can enhance the
mechanical strength of oil immersed transformer windings without
reducing partial discharge inception levels. The adhesive dots
are arranged in a pattern that ensures an offset relationship
exists between the dots on concentric presspaper layers.
Also available
is Grade K diamond dotted.
